Providing virtual services throughout New York State and in-person forest therapy in the Putnam, Dutchess, and Upper Westchester areas
Psychosomatic and mind–body approaches based on Hakomi principles focuses on how stress, trauma, and emotional patterns live in the body. Rather than trying to override symptoms or analyze experiences, therapy gently brings attention to present-moment sensations, responses, and nervous system patterns. This helps clients understand their reactions with curiosity and compassion, rather than judgment.
This approach is especially helpful for anxiety, attachment wounds, trauma, and mind-body symptoms. By slowing down and listening to the body’s signals, clients often experience increased emotional regulation, self-awareness, and a growing sense of internal safety and coherence.
